Trip to Tamga
Day 1
Bishkek-Tamga (320 km, around 5-6 hours)
Breakfast. Meet the guide and the driver at the hotel. Transfer to Tamga along the southern shore of the Issyk-Kul lake. On the way visit Burana Tower, a unique 11th century minaret that was once a focal point in the medieval town of Balasagun. Lunch on the way. Then visit Bokonbaevo village to see show of the felt-making process where you will learn how to make traditional Kyrgyz nomadic carpets. Enjoy short hiking at “Skazka” Canyon (“Fairytale” in English), walking through the canyon, you will find yourself in a world full of colorful rock formations and feel as if you are in fairytale. Arrive at the yurt camp near the Tamga village. Dinner and overnight.

Day 2
Tamga – full day
Breakfast in the yurt camp. Relax on the shore of the lake. Lunch at the camp. Dinner and overnight in the same yurt camp near Tamga. Camp is located on the lake shore and each yurt has its private toilet and shower. Camp is open from May 1st to October 30th.

Day 3
Tamga – Karakol (90 km, around 1-2 hours) or Bishkek (320 km, around 5-6 hours)
Option 1
After breakfast transfer along the southern shore towards Karakol, the fourth largest city in Kyrgyzstan, near the eastern tip of Lake Issyk-Kul. On the way visit Jety-Oguz Gorge, famous for its “Seven Bulls” and “Broken Heart” rocks. You can climb up to the mountain to have the best view of the entrance to the gorge. Continue driving to Karakol. Arrive in the city and have lunch. In the afternoon visit the Dungan mosque in Chinese style and the Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Church. Overnight in hotel.

After breakfast transfer back to Bishkek along the southern shore of the lake. Overnight in the hotel.
